FROM CNN's Jack Cafferty:
It's time for a change from Change We Can Believe In.
President Obama's re-election campaign is looking for a new slogan to replace his 2008 mantras of hope and change.
Reuters reports that some of the contenders include Winning the Future, Greater Together and We Don't Quit.
His campaign posters still say Obama 2012 but surrogates have been road-testing some of these other ideas.
The campaign probably won't roll out the official slogan until the president knows who his Republican challenger will be, and that might take a while.
But whatever slogan President Obama goes with, it needs to represent a new reality. That includes high unemployment, economic insecurity and the fact that Mr. Obama is no longer a Washington outsider.
Senior campaign strategist David Axelrod insists the 2012 election is also about hope and change - even though those words may not be in the slogan.
The branding of a presidential campaign is all about connecting with voters. President Obama hit the nail on the head last time around, but lightning doesn't always strike twice.
One of the best campaign slogans ever was Ronald Reagan's 1984 re-election slogan, Morning Again in America.
What is Mr. Obama up against? The Republicans' slogans are highlighting their belief that the U.S. is on the wrong track under President Obama.
Mitt Romney uses Believe in America, Newt Gingrich has Rebuilding the American Dream plastered on his bus, and Ron Paul says he will Restore America Now.
Here’s my question to you: What would you suggest for President Obama's new campaign slogan?
Interested to know which ones made it on air?
Simon:
Give me the rest of your change. We've got $15 trillion in debt to pay off.
Tom in Atlanta:
How about a little Willy Nelson "If you've got the money honey, I've got the time"
Roy in Jacksonville, Florida:
Forward we go. Socialism, here we come.
Matt:
Jack, "Change" we can really believe in this time.
June:
That's easy: "One and done."
Riley:
I would use something like: "You don't really want the other guy, he's way worse than me.”
Beth:
He should sing "Let's Stay Together".
Liz on Facebook:
Give me 4 more years… We can be just like Greece!
Ed:
Not as crazy as the Republican candidates.
Bonnie in New Jersey:
Change we need to stuff down the Republican's mega-rich and corporate-loving throats.
David on Facebook:
Broke: Ran out of change.
Gilbert:
1. Four more years
2. Obama got Osama
3. I'm not Mitt Romney

"Obama: A candidate who respects the rights of women."
Vote for me, I'm not a nutjob like the rest of em!
He should try a short and simple to follow message/slogan like:
"Take Republicans out of Congress and allow America to prosper for everybody!"
I would suggest the President's new slogan to be:
"Know change when Repulicans control"
Dope & Mange!!
Man, talk about opening the door to some massive salvo !!
How bout this slogan ?
"Fooled y'all once but you ain't seen nuthin yet".
How about 'Born in the USA'?
YES I CAN IF THEY CAN"T.
Change, even in the face of Obstruction. Why is the media pretending that the GOP hasn't done everything in their power to undermine our economy, and our country at large, in order to win elections?
Winning, but it's only half-time.
Obama Cares!
We're gonna lower those gas prices! You can count on it!
How about a little Willy Nelson "If you've got the money honey, I've got the time"
Mr. Cafferty
President Obama's new slogan should be "Those other guys are nuts!"
*** VOTE ***
FOR A FAIR DEAL
(You won't get a Fair Deal if you don't vote)
"Play it again, Sam', but this time leave the promises out.
Give Me The Rest Of Your Change..We've Got $15 Trillion In Debt To Pay Off.
Winning The Future?? Newt stole it from the presidents state of union address but it was an app. saying. The President and Democrats have rescued America from the Republican demise and now is the time to Win the Future. We are either going to adapt the Democratic policies and push the country forward or adopt Republicans and take the country back to its past while allowing China, Europe and other countries to be in a position of Superiority.
Four more years of corruption, crooks, greed, waste, loser wars, and incompetence. Doug, Pepperell, MA.
Change? You want transparency?
I can promise you that.
Change # Two! it is.
Jack: Let' see, "Ding-Dong the wicked Osama is dead", or "Are you tired of the word, no, vote for Obama." Slogans are good, but a balance attack to solve the problems of the weak economy, support the re-education of people for new technology jobs, and keep the peace, but still protect the homeland. These are concepts Americans understand. The Republicans need to corporate more with the Democrats to have away forward. Just saying, no, all the time will not solve this nation's needs or its wants.
Belief we can change in.
The workers at one of the factories he visited last week actually had a good one: "we can't wait!"
"Forward we go, Socialism, here we Come"
Roy, Jacksonville FL
Obama could have a slogan"Change-You know what i mean!"
Hi Jack,
Pres. Obama should retain the "Yes We Can" and discard the Change. The new slogan should read "together we can achieve a greet leap into greatness" Yes We Can"
A word of caution to republicans. Please tell those republicans not to even think of saying these words talk less of using it.
That's simple : "ONE AND DONE."
America's Safe and the Economy is Recovering–Thanks to Obama. Vote Obama 2012
1.Four more years
2. Obama got Osama
3. I'm not Mitt Romney...... (winner )
Hi Jack, the next President may seat two Supreme Court justices which will control the next 20 years of American law. Obama’s frustration of dealing with the “Party of No" tells us that Obama alone is not enough; thus the slogan should be, “Obama, the House plus 60.” Obama will need 60 Democrats in the Senate to confirm his appointments which will be change you can believe in!
Say No to the party of No.
Obama 2012: Four more years of Bush.
Vote for me I am the sane.
Coulda Woulda Shoulda !
Obama 2012: Four more years of Bush!
How about using Al Green's song that the President tried to sing in Apollo theatre ----
" LET'S STAY TOGETHER AMERICA "
Simple , " O No I can't " or " No , We Can't "
Progress we can believe in.
Jack
"Change" we can really believe in this time.
Matt

How about:
"Skip the Slogans, Let's Share Solutions"
I am sick of hearing the GOP say that everything Obama proposes will not work...
Tell me HOW we can MAKE it work....
Tell me HOW we can MAKE something work....
Tell me HOW we can MAKE anything work....
If EVERY elected official had concentrated on solutions instead of slogans the past four years, OUR country would be in great shape by now......instead, we are stuck with IDEALS instead of IDEAS and more promises of better days with different politicians with different agendas......
nah nan nan nan nah, nah nan nan nan nah, heey heeey hey goodbye
Dictator-in-chief!
Jack, when Iran and Israel are at war, gasoline and food prices are through the roof and the National Debt is a number so high that Carl Sagan couldn't pronounce it, the voters won't give a flying slogan what it is!
"Yes, every citizen must prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen."
Welcome to America.
Jerry

Jack with the field of Republican candidates I don't think Obama needs a campaign slogan. All he has to do is stay out of the way of these right wing fanatics and leave them destroy themselves. Romney comes across as a phony, Santorum is on some kind of religious crusade and Gingrich is just Gingrich. I would tell the voters if you want to stay in the 21st century and not go back in time vote for me.
It should be This Time Enforce Change For All.
Hi Jack, here is the slogan:
Our future: fair and bright, thats all right
Ride, ride, ride with me,
On the train to bankruptcy.
Jack I enjoy listen to you and your comments I will say this about President Obama. It takes a brave man with a lot of courage to hold Press Confercences and answer alll the questions in a fortrhright manner!!! Having said that I think this will be an approprite slogan "Bravery, Courage and Common Sence Thinking Results to Victory"
Change we need to stuff down the Republican's megarich and corporate loving throats.
Keep on cutting your own throat......Vote for Tea/Kochplicans. If you want jobs, choice, fairness, equality.....don't vote Tea/Kochplicans; Or, you'll be........ sorrier!
Two favorite Obama's slogans should be, "I'll pmomise everything you want to hear that I can't deliver fairly." The other option, "Screw the rich, poor is beautiful."
Jack, next question(tommorrow) you should ask what the slogan should be for the Republican candidfate. I'll bet you, you'll have 80% negative vs 20% positive comments. While for Obama it wiill be reversed, or at least what you'll publish.
Keep up the good work Jack.
He should sing "Let's Stay Together"
Jack,
"I'm not a loon, unlike the other guy."
"He's not perfect, but at least he won't throw us into another Great Depression like the other guy will."
how about, 'i quit, I failed the American People".
Tested and Steady Leadership We Can Believe In
IL
Not as crazy as the Republican candidates.
i would use something like " You don't really want the other guy, he's way worse than me. "
It is better to elect the crook that you know than to replace him with one you don't.
OR
Obama 2012, the lesser of two evils.
Compromise is the key! Lord knows he has done alot of that!
South Carolina
Lead from Behind
I like what Biden uses, "Osama is dead, and GM is alive!". How about, "Remember what the last Republican administration did to you".
Given the alternatives, Jack, it's simple: "Sanity we can believe in."
Obama, abrogate leadership
Jack: "JUST DO IT!"
"Whatever gets me elected, I will do!
Anyone but Mitt. It might bring in the far right voters.
How about: "There's a lot of hard work to do, join me."
OBAMA CARES!
"A Vacation Schedule Like You Wouldn't Believe"
Obama's new slogan should read "CHANGE; A WAVE IN CONSTANT MOTION". We need to realize that it takes time to change a drastically poor situation into a better one. The country was in a drastic state upon Obama entering office; Obama's wave of change has always been moving in the right direction. Keep those waves moving or else the alternative direction will cause greater damage.

Well, "Yes We Can" worked great last time...I'm in favor of "Yes we will...AGAIN" but really, Jack, won't any slogan beat that of Santorum- "No birth control for you!" or Romney's "I love cars"? Won't take the most astute of slogan writers/campaign managers to top whomever the competition might be from the pretend...I mean contenders.
'Let's Finish Recovering."
Recovering from the backlash of change that was brought to Washington and the policies trying to turn this economy around.

Obama said there'd be days like this. We're working on it. cy from arlington, va
"Billionaires = Tyrants. Restore Democracy!"
Jack, the slogan will depend on who Obama is running against: vs. Romney, "Vote for me, I'm concerned about all Americans". Vs. Santorum: "Vote for me, I don't hate anyone". Or the worst case for Republicans: vs. Palin: "Vote for me, I quit cigarettes, but I'll never quit on citizens.".
Here's a few:
"Have you seen the other guy? "
"Let's stay in the 21st century."
"Not Crazy!"
"What choice do you have?"
Obama definitely needs a newcampaign slogan . Maybe it should be "Give me four more years and I will make you believe".
Protecting American workers. This time it's personnel! cy from arlington, va
No Change, but then what did you really expect anyway? I am still better then any republican running against me.
Here are a couple of suggestions:
Bin Laden is dead and GM is alive.
I'm NOT a Republican.
Let's finish the job.
You don't here me screaming WMD'S. I am the lesser of two evils. The one you know and the one you don't? Your choice.
Newt. Mitt. Herman. President Bachman. President Paul. The Donald. Hmmm, does Barack Obama STILL sound strange to you?

He shouldn't have one. If he does, Sarah & friends will have a field day with his last one. But, if he has to have one,
"Jobcare, this time I promise Just don't ask me how."

How about "Obama – The only realistic choice" Anyone with an ounce of sense has to agree. Whoever is finally annointed the GOP candidate will be only a placeholder. If the Republicans ever hope to win the White House again they need to start scouting for the 2016 nominee. And if their party hasn't moved a long way toward the center by then they should just shut down this long running farce.
Getting America Back Track
Obama/Biden in 2012. At least they've got a clue–and a plan.

6. A more perfect union.
What do you think?
Let's see; Turn Out the Lights, Read My Lips- No New Taxes; More Debt in the Future; OOPS "I need a redo"; or "They Did it Too You". Now on the serious side; "The Future is Now".
Together we are strong.
'Changer Seeks Continuance' I know it sounds more like a Head Line, Jack, but considering his education n the Republicans situation, its accurate n he should just go with it. A little truth is better than none at all.
How about:
"At least I am not a fruitcake"
Change you can't believe in.
His new slogan should be "Change you are finally beginning to see". He should convey to the population that change has taken time, especially since the mess the Bush Administration created had to be cleaned up first. Demolition is required before reconstruction.
President Obama's new slogan "Yes We Will Do"
Obama 2012: Going to Work for America. This would emphasize his committment to bringing jobs back to the US and lowering the unemployment rate.
Obama 2012: Have You Even LISTENED To Those Other Guys?
It should be "I promise to stop being a socialist and will refrain from class warfare".
"Keeping America out of the hands of Barnum and Bailey."
Lets Finish What Weve Begun
How about – Since the change was not quite what I promised, I'll give someone else a chance. I'd love to hear that!

Easy...."Are you better off NOW than you will be after four more years with me as President ?" Everyone will have to say yes to that one!
Obama has already given us his Lame Duck Presidency. Outside of killing OBL he passed Health Care that regulates the people and ignores insurance, stocks and banking. Nobody went to jail. GM and Fiat passed GO and collected $200. His economic plan has him walking to third base and now he thinks he hit a triple. Glad to see Dubbya go and happy McCain lost but I think it's time to change again..

I don't believe The President needs to worry about a new slogan. Unless you add to the front "Continuing Change". While the Republicans keep shooting themselves in the foot, we are seeing the change happening. First of all the Republicans can't all speak the same language and keep tearing one another down. That's to Presidents Obama's advantage. While many rich and richer than rich are coming out of the closets and saying "we need to pay more in taxes". Republicans bringing religion into the politics is going to help the Democrats a great deal. Look what the religious right did for President Bush along with big banks with fraudulent deals, corporate America and Wall Street deals with our representatives. Did "you all" forget the occupiers or has Syria taken your eyes off our own need for change in getting rid of greed and over zealous religion ... The Republicans couldn't win the last election because they had damaged the middle class to severely. Then from day one their chant became make Obama a one term President, that made this conservative give up the republican party forever. And in spite of all that's going on The Uunited States is starting to come alive with hope... thanks President Obama.
Jack; how about "RENEW AND REVIVE AMERICA NOW! Hum., it could be Renew and Reorganize America Now! Thanks for asking! After watching the new documentary on President Clinton it seems like its all the same old same old. Oh well , let's hope for the best! Amie Densmore, Pomfret ct.
