Rendell should apologize, because had Janet Napolitano been James Napolitano, it's not as likely that he would have brought up the same subject. Not much is made out of single men taking Cabinet posts, and to be honest, I doubt most of us could tell you whether Eric Holder, Jim Jones, or Robert Gates are married. This only seems to be a subject when single women, such as Gov. Napolitano or Condi Rice, are placed in these important roles. Yes, Gov. Rendell should apologize, because had Janet Napolitano been James Napolitano, it's not as likely that he would have brought up the same subject.
