He should talk with them like they are fellow human beings. Obviously the strategies our current administration has been using–namely vascilating between sanctions and pretending like they don't exist–have not been working or we wouldn't even be having to ask this question.

Jack, President-Elect Obama should be willing to listen to what the Iranians have to say. But Make no mistake about this, Obama has already warned the world community that America will take the appropriate action to protect itself and our allies. He should try a diplomatic approach first. If that fails then he should try sactions. If the sanctions fail and Iran poses a threat to the region, then he should give them one final written and verbal warning before making them an oil slick.

Sorry Jack, but I would never presume to know how Pres. elect Obama should treat Iran. He's a very smart and savvy man, so he can handle it a lot better than most of us. (especially George Bush)

Talk to Iran, what can it hurt? Iran is also wanting to speak to us and the Iranian President eager to meet President-elect Obama. Go for it, it would seriously show a sign of strong Diplomacy!

I think the best dimplomatic approach to the problems with Iran is through Russia. The Russians don't want the missle sheild in their back yard. We need the Russians to cooperate with us for additional U.N. sanctions in order to put the pressure on Iran. So I think the best solution would be to halt the missle sheild or move it; in exchange Russia backs more U.N. sanctions.
