If the people of Alaska choose to put a convicted felon in the senate, then they should have that right. The senate has no business overruling what the people of Alaska want. Hopefully, he will lose his re-election bid, but if he should prevail then the senate should seat him.

Fellow Congressmen were quick to distance themselves from Mark Foley and Larry Craig but I suspect the foot dragging going on with Ted Stevens is indicative of how close to home his crimes were.

If Alaska were to reelect Stevens, it would send a sad message about
today's politics. A convicted felon would be allowed to serve his country and his state as a public official! Congress should oust him now and give the Republicans a speck of respectability.

Yes. Why should a CONVICTED FELON serve in our Senate? Why is this even a question? I am still in disbelief that the people of Alaska could actually go into that voting booth and vote for him. How disconnected can the people of Alaska be???

Don't expel him! As a Republican, he is in the minority, which bodes well for the Democrats. Considering his length of service as a Senator, his pension will be substantial. If he doesn't prevail with his appeals process, the country as a whole stands to save an enormous amount of cash. Also, he's poison on Capital Hill, which means that not even his peers will endorse anything he sponsors. The people of Alaska voted him in, so let them decide whether or not he should continue to represent them.

Of coarse he should be expelled, kicked out, banned, and removed from the senate!! He is a convicted fellon, in the US, convicted fellons are stripped from their right to vote and this does not exclude him. He is voting for our countries future and if the other fellons can not vote why should he? That is a right you are given as a decent citizen and he has broke his trust with the American people and we no longer trust his judgement or his vote. He will no longer be able to vote for president or any other figure for our Country due to his convictions. He should be ashamed for his actions and step down.
