What the GOP is going after is the untapped electoral market which has become larger than the support to both candidates, maybe the surging generations… The present economic crisis is going to further test these limits. A couple more years as governor, then maybe a Senate run, and she might finally be ready for prime time. There is no obvious leader to the future Republican party, so once she gets some more experience, she is as likely a leader as anyone else. This race will always be a blotch on her resume though.
