The difference in national spending would be nothing compared to what Obama would save by getting us out of Iraq.

Even though John McCain has alleged that Senator Obama would be a "big government, big spending" president, he neglects his own positions. His continued support for the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy and an unjust war show that he does not have a clue how to handle the budget, and will spend in the wrong way.

Sure it is McCain. Obama has a clear plan on ending war in Iraq and this will save $10b/month to the country. No doubt McCain will be the huge spender.

Whoever can better schmooze with Congress, and our creditors – the Chinese. My guess is that will be Obama. McCain isn't bolstering much confidence or credibility these days. After all, it is largely policies he has supported that has resulted in thi economic mess. At least Obama is tantamount to the first time home buyer. A little risky, but worth a shot.

They will both spend money, and with that money they will fix all of our problems. Obama is going to spend money on things like education, health care, infrastructure, energy and defense. Only then would he think about going on the offense with wars as an option. McCain on the other hand wants to go on the offense first with wars as a requirement, then hopefully after a few decades, he'll take care of our social needs. My thought and vote goes to: "the best defense makes a good offense."

The McCain "tax cut" is just more spending....Deficit Spending, If revenues don't cover spending than your spending your childs and your grandchilds money.

When will we get over the "gonna cut taxes" campaign lies. Bush (McCain) simply let his buddies keep more of their ill gotten profits while he drove this country off a cliff. Country First ! yea sure. Let's spend our taxes on putting people to work on projects that benefit our country and stop sending our dollars to Haliburton via Irag. We will benefit from higher revenues and lower deficits. But, guess what, it means we have to pay taxes otherwise we can just let our country crumble as we stand by and wait for the great trickle down to occur.
We ALL have a responsiblity to pay our way. United WE can make this country truly great again. Let's get started.

McCain would be the bigger spender because like Bush, McCain is clueless and like Bush, McCain's answer to every problem will probably to throw money at it rather than come up with real solutions.

I am not sure which candidate would spend the most money but i am hoping that it will be spent wisely. I think Obama will do that. I live in Michigan and we can't afford four more years of the same .

McCain McCain McCain.. he will spend more money and in all the wrong places! Money to countries that have no debt to fund a war no one wants. Money to the wealthy corporations who send it overseas to hire people and hide their profits. Money to oil companies who have record profits.

Now, why is it socialism if it's intended to help all Americans, but "good capitalism" or "free market" to make the rich richer, send away our jobs, and fund huge corporations with the money of the poor?

Even IF Obama were to spend anywhere near as much as his opponent (which he won't, he's been perfectly clear about that), at LEAST we would know it would go to AMERICANS to REBUILD what 8 years of republican rule have successfully dismantled, crushed, stolen, let fall into disrepair, and killed. Roads, infrastructure, education, science, alternative fuel, or any innovation.
