Without a moments hesitation -YES. Just as Peggy Noonan and many other conservatives have said - her pick was a total "gimmick" by McCain. He's using gimmicks to win votes - suspending or at least pretending he was suspending his campaign, wanting to postpone the debates, flying to the rescue in Washington to take care of the economic crisis while saying he was leaving "partisan" politics out of it, then injecting that very thing into the situation and now he wants to blame Obama for the collapse of the bail out. In classic gimmick style he never fails us. The Palin pick just shows he lacks the judgment to be President. She's a joke and the possibility she could be a heartbeat away from taking over for the oldest guy to ever take office is truly a frightening thought.

Mrs. Palin is a classic example of "ignorance is bliss" as she doesn't have a clue that she is in way over her head; now, we get to see if Senator McCain is also part of that classic example by continuing to delude the public and this woman that she is qualified to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency which statistically is a one in five chance due to his age. It's scary and extremely sad for our country.

How about if McCain and Palin work as a team and make a mutual pact to both withdraw. These two are making the USA look foolish around the world!

I think McCain was only looking for someone to boost his own status, not someone who would be a possible President. John McCain has admitted that he only wanted to be President for his own selfish reasons, not because he has a calling to better this country. I think both McCain and Palin should step down. Now!

Sarah Palin possesses George W. Bush's worst quality... a person of deep conviction who is not a deep thinker.

They have a point of view based on limited information and they're going to "fight for it" regardless of what other information might come into play. They call it conviction, but I call it shallowness.

What we saw in the Couric interview was someone who could only go one question deep on a topic. Once Couric asked the second question, Palin was unable to form a new thought on her own. OUCH!!

At this point I am so pissed off at Republicans right now that no, I hope he keeps her on the ticket. This way he will have someone else to blame other than himself when he losses.

He needs to have her step down for the sake of the country but he will not. His selection of her definitely defines his judgement and/or ability to control the decisions of his own campaign or surroundings. He has made a "mockery" of the USA. Let's see how she does in the debate. If she has a performance that is anything similar to the Katie Couris interview, there may be an even bigger push to get her off the ticket.
