Well, this does not surprise any intelligent person living in the U. S. or the rest of the world at all. Hello? France and Germany (major allies before G. W. Bush) did not support the Invasion of Iraq because of lack of facts (and it was illegal). Hello? And Bush convinced U. S. Americans to rename pommes frites (French-fried potatoes) into "freedom fries"?
I have no doubt that Suskind is writing the truth. It's just so sad that the majority of regular "U. S. Americans" get "suckered in " with the lies and self-gratifying corruption of the elected officials in command. Quite frankly, the media (including your network) has room for more dignified reporting: re: the 2008 USA Election. The White House has forged letters for decades and scores. The big lie for a "civilized" nation is that some of our children die for nothing, just greed.

To Craig in Scottsdale:

There are a lot of us who HAVEN'T forgotten what was done to Valerie Plame. Outing an agent to the press, though, is basically a misdemeanor in comparison to the other actions done by or on behalf of this White House. A lot of us would like to see not only the White House, but the do-nothing Congress held responsible for all their actions or inactions.

Although my earlier comments weren't found fit to be included in the blog, maybe this one will be.

Given the choice between a man unfaithful to his wife with a consenting adult, and a man who cheerfully sacrificed thousands of American soldiers and tens of thousands of Iraqis, not to mention the billions of dollars of the middle class taxes, I'll take the philanderer every time. At least I can understand HIS motivation...I just can't comprehend Bush, et al.

It means that if someone in a position of authority believes this statement from the book we will spend countless millions over the next 50 years in an investigative effort to prosecute the responsible parties who will by then will have been deceased for many years.

It means that the Republican miss-information crew succeeded in covering the eyes of the people once again. Nothing they do anymore surprises me. All they care about is WINNING the election. There doesn't seem to be even the slightest concern for the well-being of our Country or the people in it. If there were, they would fold their tent and not even run a candidate against Obama!

It's quite simple Jack, like father like son. I see the warmongering acorn doesn't fall far from the tree. At this point nothing surprises me about this organization. As a member of the younger generation and a first time voter, I have never been more concerned about the future of this country. This is the worst condition I've ever known for the country to be in. No wonder the rest of the world hates us. God bless America, correction God "HELP" America.

It means what we have all known for a very long time now Jack. This administration is the most corrupt in the history of the United States and seemingly would stop at nothing to achieve their objectives. We can easily dismiss the 911 conspiracy theorists and the veep office Seymore Hearst/ Iranian fishing boat plot allegations, but everyone knows this administration has overreached presidential authority, has failed to execute duties faithfully and has failed to protect and defend the constitution. Knowing what we know, how could we possibly rule out any act as being beyond their moral conscience? Still congress does nothing. If our future grows from todays actions, our government is in dire peril.

I certainly would not be surprised at this. Clearly, we will never see any papers that will prove it but there is certainly circumstantial evidence this administration did everything in its power to keep citizens from knowing the truth.

It's funny Jack, we impeach Bill Clinton because of Monica...lol But we won't impeach this monster for much worst. It's sad how we justify what right from wrong.

If true. It should mean that anyone involved should be prosicuted by the U.N. for war crimes. The blood of the dead (on both sides) is solely on their hands. If they were from any other country in the world we would demand justice. Why not demand the same justice no matter the guilty party? I was under the impression no one was above the law?
