Too many Americans for too long lived by the mottor "I want it and I want it now even if I do not have the Money". Credit cards are maxed out by many of the same people who are being foreclosed on at this time. Moral - Live within your means and pay as you go. Debt creates more debt. What did we think would eventualy happen? Most people that are in trouble took out high risk loans and gambled in a game they were ill-suited to play in. Real estate speculation is not for the amature or those who can't, or don't, read every word of their contracts and understand the risks they are exposing themselves to.
