Then too, they realize the implications of the huge national debt and trade deficit. And I think most of them realize that a health care savings account won't cut it if someone in their family has cancer or some other serious condition that costs far more than a family health care savings account could fund. Elizabeth Edwards said it best. It won't work. Those are a few reasons. I don't know too many young voters who believe in the war in Iraq anymore, nor do I know many who are happy with the way college loans are being cut. Until the Republican party rejects anti-gay/racist sentiments, stops the war in Iraq and the war-posturing in Iran and embrace science (ie stop ignoring global warming, at least admit evolution is possible, stop with Creationism in schools, etc...) young people will move in droves the the Democrats. The Republicans won't do this, however, as they need the "old and scared" vote to win elections. I am a twenty-five year old grad student and I see little hope for the Republican party with most young people.
