She can't come up with the facts to support her contention that she is experienced. So in the tradition of G.W. Bush et al and the Iraq war, just make up stuff and tell it with a straight face.

Hey it works, as no one seems to question it, until it is to late. Then we are expected to forget the past and to move on and "focus on the future".

Both candidates have embellished their foreign policy experience.
However, Hillary seems to do it with such ease it is scary.

If one were charitable, one could suggest amnesia, or some other medical condition. A less charitable explanation would be that, being in power for so long and so used to political expediencies, she cannot distinguish fact from fiction or thinks she is above the truth. Either way, it questions her capacity to be President and, in the words of a close member of her family, her Bosnia account is just a "fairytale".

It is called Embellishing, kind of like the truth but mostly it is a lot of frill(an ornamental addition) Kind of like the idea that living in the white house for 8 years counts as Experience.

Good question Jack. Maybe Hillary Clinton took her lead from Bill. He seemed to come out of his Presidential Lies and mistruths unscathed. Either way, her mistruths, embellishments, and lies are clear examples of why this country is in the pickle it is in. She does a good job of hammering the Bush Administration of misleading the American public, yet she does the same thing herself and obviously does it quite well. Sen Clintons campaign like President Bush, has does a good job of shoveling out lies, half truths, misleading statements and over embellishments of facts.

Why? Common Jack! This woman has been lying to the American people since the down of time. It tells you how inaccurate her resume is. She been bragging about her experience but in reality she was making ceremonial visit. I will never trust the Clinton because what is important to them is their personal ambition.

If I were the Clinton's I would simply pack up my belongings and move somewhere that has people that actually appreciate what is done for their betterment. I am continually disappointed in the people of this country. As far as I can tell the Clinton's work tirelessly in support of others and people seem to want only to tear them down. Well, apparently there was sniper fire, the passengers were informed of gunfire, and the crew took extra precautions to protect her and Chelsea. However, it appears she embellished the danger at the airport. No matter, Obama is also embellishing his legislative record in the Senate. Tis the election season.

It sure would be better for Clinton to re-acquaint us about her activities as NY Senator for over 8 years, her record in the Senate is more than enough to commend her for high office including the presidency. The current issue of this blog, her visit to Bosnia, is small potatoes compared to what Obama said to us in one of the debates where he said that his relationship with Rezko was merely as an advocate for the law firm he was with in a transaction dealing with a church group.

As it turned out Obama had many more dealings with Rezko and it is still to come out exactly what all of those were.

Is a mistake on what happened on a trip of the same seriousness as statements made about a relationship with Rezko, a person indicted for fraud?

I think that Clinton's mistake is not of the same ilk as Obama's misstatements of fact including how by omission he forgot to mention his personal dealings with Rezko, etc...

Because the Clinton hate losing and she'll do whatever it takes. I believe she says whatever she wants, if she thinks it will appeal to the people she's talking to at that moment. HRC relies on the fact that some of the people who hear her lies will never hear the follow-up news that what she said is untrue, and that's probably fair to bet since many people don't really follow the news closely.

The silly thing is that Clinton didn't NEED to exaggerate her story. I mean, she was in BOSNIA; which is already pretty gutsy. This just makes her look really opportunistic - a characteristic that has become all too apparent over the past few months. Did she "misremember" the details of her trip? When etched against the backdrop of bigger issues - and bigger "whoppers" - by Bush administration officials and others, does it matter? I think it's an item for hairsplitting journalists on a slow newsday.

If you go back in time and investigate every candidate,you will find that they all embellished certain stories in their past. I can tell you for a fact that I have embellished my own Vietnam war stories to make them more interesting. As a spectator, Hillary Clinton appears delusional and John McCain can't remember if the Sunni or Shiite Muslims are crossing into Iraq to train terrorists. It can't be Obama. When the Wright story broke, Obama's first instinct was to lie about it. "I didn't hear those....". When he figured out that it could be proven that he knew what Wright was saying, he came out with his race speech. His campaign went out of their way to dig up the information on Geraldine Ferraro from some obscure paper in California and they crucified her. How is that the high ground? Keep checking her schedule...what's the story with all those "priviate meetings" with any descriptions blanked out. They definitely don't want the American people to know the truth.

Do you really need to ask this question, Jack? Because it proves she had much less experience in foreign relations than she claims and it's likely she's exaggerating about other things as well that she wants to take credit for that actually were accomplishments of her husband and others in his administration.

I really would like to vote for an accomplished woman for President. There are plenty. Maybe one of them will finally gain the name recognition needed to run for President. Maybe one will be nominated as Obama's VP. I hope so.

For now, Senator Obama, will have my vote for President. His judgement argument make sense to me. It's how you decide even when you have no experience that matters.

Everyone tells tales Jack, and I'm guessing she did this because she is a politician, and is playing up the situation to make it sound much worse than it was, to try and sound like she knows more than she does about the big bad world out there. This in the face of knowing that the FL & MI Dems are responsible for changing the primaries in the face of warnings from the DNC that they would not be seated, Resolution of the mortgage crisis to pay for a Panel however, she fails to realize that it was Congress' job to prevent this disaster the very Congress that she basis her significant experience on and has been part of for many years. But let's have the Tax Payers pay more to have a Panel figure out a solution while hard working Americans are paying congress DAILY to not only prevent this type of economic downturn but now that they missed the boat, resolve it. It's always let's spend the very tax payers money who are loosing their homes to solve the crisis.

Perhaps giving back the $384M she received in Pork Barrell Spending that is not yet spent and which she refuses to disclose what she is planning to spend the money on would be a very generous start that will show a true commitment on behalf of Sen. Dear Jack,
How can we expect the truth from Hillary on one subject when
she has distorted so many other issues. Their campaign has
ventered away from truth and integrity and they seem to be
at the point of no return.
It is so sad that they resorted to the level they have. Once
admired and respected them, but no more.
We need Hillary to conduct a campaign with merit, not

Jack, It seems Hillary's trying to shore up her silly assertion that she'll be a grand Commander-in-Chief on "day one," with a red phone in one hand and an alarm clock set for 3:00 a.m. in the other. If I claimed that my husband's job made me qualified to do his work just by virtue of our marriage, I'd be laughed out of town. Now we're to believe that Hillary and her young daughter were sent to sites that were too dangerous for her husband? Ridiculous! She deserves those four Pinnochios, plus an extra one for that horrid red phone TV ad. She's making us Dems look bad!

Sen. Clinton has every reason to lie about the trip. She has finally realized, in a campaign she has based solely on experience, that she has no more experience in her 8 years in the white house and two terms in the Senate than Sen. Obama has in only his first term.

Even if Hillary is caught in a lie, at least it is not about sitting in a "God d*mn America" church!!!

I remember listening to NPR and Hillary was speaking to refugees in Bosnia. She said "I know your plight!" I'm sure you've seen "Sohpie's choice"..good grief. This is a third world country, these people don't have movie theaters, let alone American movies.

Obviously, with no real foreign policy experience, Hillary has resorted to conjuring up Tom Clancy-esque tales of bravado. To watch the demise of the Clintons is truly sad to watch.

How could she validate and legitimize her 35 years of experience and being ready on day one without lying about the content or substance of that experience? To be vetted to Commander-in-Chief on day one, Sen. Hillary Clinton must be sensational in her lies.

She was secretly dating Milosevic. They would rendevous in Croatia. Bill had Monica and she had her little 'slobby'.

Her account of the Bosnia trip parallels George Bush's account of WMDs in Iraq – we just don't need that kind of politics again. Shame on you Hillary Clinton!

I believe she may have exaggerated the circumstances.
How many of us have gotten caught up and exaggerated a story or circumstances? The situation and events she described may very well have occured at some other time during the visit. It is one question and one answer. I would not make my voting decision on the basis of it.

What is wrong with Hillary's campaign is simply the media. The media has been against her from the beginning. Being against Hillary is the same as being against The United States of America.

On two different occasions, Senator Hillary Clinton has described a trip she took as first lady to Bosnia in March of 1996.

To hear her tell it, she was lucky to escape with her life, landing in a hail of sniper fire. She said they were forced to cut short the greeting ceremony at the airport and, "run with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."

But apparently there was time to stop and visit at the airport with an 8-year-old girl who greeted Mrs. Clinton on the tarmac when she landed and read her a poem.

The military commander on hand to greet Clinton at the time, Major General William Nash, told the Washington Post he was unaware of any sniper threat to Clinton during her 8-hour stay.

Also traveling with the first lady was her daughter Chelsea, the singer Sheryl Crow and the comedian Sinbad, who said the scariest part of the trip was deciding where to eat.

Hillary seems to have forgotten, that in this day and age of technology, everyone has everything right at their fingertips. Every story can be searched, Dugg, and shown on Youtube in the blink of an eye.

Fabricating stories and telling “whoppers” come easy for the Clintons, but they must still be living in the 90’s if they think they can get away with it.

Why? Because she is power hungry, dishonest and feels she is owed the presidency. She has a lot in common with George W Bush in that she feels she has the right to lie to the American Public. They both believe that the end justifies the end. At least Bush thinks he is Lying for a higher purpose "God and Country" Hillary is just lying for herself. This is just another reason to fear for America under Hillary Clinton, Just like her and Bill's tendency to take their share of the cash off the top. Hillary has based her whole fantasy campaing on lies.The Pinnociios are well deserved.She probably has to grind her nose nightly.Obama is running on the ability to show good judgement on foriegn affairs.She couldn't even control family affairs.

I think that Sen.Obama summed it up very nicely on his Larry King appearance, " I don't think Senator Clinton or her husband like losing very much."

I am not voting on "past experience" in this election anyway. Where has gotten us? Rather I am looking for someone new who is willing to look at the whole situation from a new angle. Since no one could make it much worse, I feel that Sen Obama at least can give us a fresh take and "uncluttered by Washington" approach.

Truth is a casuality of politics, it has been mass murdered in every race for decades. Those running for office don't care if it is the truth so long as the quote gets print and airtime they believe someone will hear it and believe. Mrs. Clinton feels she can get away with it; after all is anyone really suprised that a Clinton is caught telling another lie?

I don't think her misspeaking compares at all to a man who would sit in a church for 20 yrs and listen to his "mentor and friend" trash our country. How do you think our soldiers must feel to hear that Obama sat by and listened to the anti American rhetoric that Rev Wright handed out in his sermons. Good speeches do not erase the fact that Obama used very poor judgement in continuing to go to that church and even use him on his campaign committee until very, very recently.

After several unfair and distracting posts on CNN about Sen. Obama, finally one fair question.

When the Irish Peace Noble Prize winner called Sen. Clinton's comments on her role in North Ireland "a wee bit silly," Sen. Clinton needs to stick to another role she fabricated for herself in her campaign.

She is tearing our party apart, just look recently how many hateful comments are posted on CNN and MSNBC from her supporters toward Sen. Obama. She is spreading hate, this is not going to work for in the general election no matter which one gets the nomination. She should stop lying and spreading hate.

It's been reported many times over that Clinton will do anything to win even if that means damaging the Democratic Party. So is anyone really surprise that lying and exaggerating her experience is in that category.

Listen even Clinton's close friend Gov. Bill Richardson endorsed Obama as our next Commander in Chief. He said, "Barack Obama will make a great and historic president. [It] is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our nation and you [Barack Obama] are a once-in-a-lifetime leader." Now certainly this sheds much light on the situation and should help the America people in deciding the nominee.

It's time for REAL change in America, it's time for Barack Obama for President!
