The Kuwaitis and Saudis are both members of OPEC and we spend billions each year protect their virtually army-less countries. The reason gas prices are so high is because it benefits many in the Bush Administration. You don't have to believe in conspiracy theory's, all you have to do is look into facts. America has long has the political clout to demand that gas prices be lowered, but why would they.
